I have never felt more welcome in a strangers home. After waking up at 4:30, and not missing our flight, we arrived in Madurai. Our awesome driver John, picked us up at the airport. He only said one thing to me the whole drive. He asked, "Scared? This is Indian driving." I answered yes. He drove us through the windiest roads I've ever seen heading up the mountain to Kodai Kanal. Unsurprisingly, we have amazing hosts, again. There's a verse in the bible that I can't remember, but it goes a little like, "be constantly in prayer with the Lord."(no idea where it is) This is exactly what our host, Dency and her family do. It's unbelievable! I may not understand the prayers, but wow do I feel the Lord in this house! I'm so excited to see what the Lord has in store for us in the next couple of weeks. Keep those prayers coming and we'll keep ours going!
Blessings,
-William
P.S. and we met Effy, the boy who lives here. He's a really cool kid.
One good reference is Romans 12:12 and yes, that would be Dency's family all right!! I am so glad you got to spend time in her lovely home! And John Driver is amazing. I'm always relieved when you are not driving, though!! Xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo glad y'all have made it safely! Here is another good verse: "Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." ~1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
ReplyDeletePraying for you both!
Blessings,
Kelly
So glad that you are safely in Kodai. You are in a very special home. Soak up everything that you can while you're there. This family has a lot to share! Make sure that you ask Ama to bless you each morning. Just kneel in front of her and she will pray over you. Enjoy every moment
